New York Fashion Week Begins: 2(x)ist Shows Boys With Barely Any Clothing

The atmosphere for 2(x)ist’s Wednesday night show at the Maritime Hotel’s Hiro Ballroom was similar to the venue’s usual disco vibe. As Lady Gaga and Robyn blared, the crowd munching sushi and eggrolls didn’t seem exactly A-list -- but wait! There’s half the cast of The A-list, seated at a table right by the runway!  The show was what one comes to expect from 2(x)ist – models with chiseled features and even more chiseled bodies in colorful and revealing underpants. 2xist delivered the whole package (with a lot of big packages). Casting must be tough, eh?  “It’s a lot of fun,” admits creative director Jason Scarlatti, “but you have to see them in their underwear. Sometimes their faces are great but there legs aren’t big enough.” The hurdles one must overcome for fashion.
