I'm glad to report that everything was better than I expected. My best friend and her girlfriend (a new good friend) seem to be having a super time.
Yesterday the table was beautiful and the fellowship was just great. As an aside, the turkey was moist and delicious and somehow all the side dishes came out at the same time thus everything was piping hot and yummy. Even my pumpkin cheesecake set up well over the night (the best one I have ever made). We all had a great time after the late Thanksgiving lunch and then all cuddled up in the den in our p.j.'s to watch ALL ABOUT EVE.
I'm just so thrilled that they are staying until Sunday. Today is museum and movie day and then we going to have dinner at Gary's restaurant. Only miserable part is that I have to see the Sixth Floor Museum (the Kennedy stuff) for the upteenth million time.
Ah well, it is great to have good friends here with me.
