I'll tell you what. Working from home again has been difficult from the start. I know so many people are doing it now, but it takes all I have to work a 9-5 while sitting in my own house.
Fortunately, I frequently have outside appointments thus I do get out of the house, but when working at home you have to train yourself to stay focused and not get up and go do laundry.
It took a bit of adjustment, but I'm glad to say that I set my alarm, make my bed, take a shower, drink my coffee and then go to work.
I have an interesting set-up. I actually am an employee of one company, but at the same time run my own little P.R. Firm. If you get a chance, become a fan of InArch Public Relations on Facebook. I would love to have you there.
I have had to learn to split my time between my main employer and my clients. Amazingly, my two biggest jobs are in Ft. Worth...so I spend a lot of time on the road going back and forth from Dallas to Ft. Worth....about 40 miles or so.
Still, I cannot begin to pretend I am not grateful and appreciate all that is going on. It has been grueling, but exciting to be able to sit at my home office desk and sort of be the "master of my own destiny"...especially in this dreadful economy.
Today I got two appointments with major designers for my clients. In addition, I have treatments out for television shows, radio appearances and a book deal. Let's just say I stay busy....but fortunately still get to take my little breaks and post for you here on the blog.
Thanks again for all the support and my visitors that are so loyal and come back time and time again. You are most appreciated.
Well, back to work......and I didn't touch the laundry.
Yours, Bratprince.
