Although I basically liked "Alice" (it's not Lewis Carroll, but then I didn't go in expecting it to be), a live-action remake of "Sleeping Beauty," if true, sounds like a very bad idea ... no matter who's playing Maleficent. That film is a classic largely because of the unique amimation style based on medieval art, plus the wonderful score based on Tschaikovsky ... I don't see it working as well in another medium. Now ... if someone wants to go back to the original myth and start from scratch ... that could be interesting.
Agreed totally. Malificent is my personal FAVORITE Disney Villian of all time!! The character combined elegance with evil. I actually was upset she was killed in the end. Who cares about the milktoast Aurora and the less than charming Prince. However, agreed...the artwork was most beautiful.
