Banks Are Convincing Customers To Opt In to Overdraft Fees
Banks are relying on outside companies to pinpoint the customers who are most likely to overdraw from accounts, reports the Wall Street Journal. The Federal Reserve’s new overdraft rules state that customers have to “sign up for a bank's overdraft program before the bank can charge the customer for overdrawing the account.”
