WHAT TO WATCH AGAIN: 'INFAMOUS'

(From Bratprince:  I have really strong feelings about this film.  Both 'Infamous' and 'Capote' were based on the killing of the Clutter family in Kansas and Truman Capote's effort to write his now legendary book 'In Cold Blood' about the murders.  The directors of both films raced against the clock to finish and release their film ahead of the other.  SADLY, 'Capote' made it out the gate first.  Phillip Seymour Hoffman did an admirable..if dry.. performance of Truman and won Best Actor from the Academy for the role.  However, he would not have done so had 'Infamous' come out first.  Where Hoffman is playing a role, the star of 'Infamous' Toby Keith LITERALLY channels Truman Capote.  HE IS CAPOTE.  His performance is spooky in how close he came to being Truman!  I've told friends to watch this film and they are amazed.  In addition, 'Infamous' shows far more of Capotes' fabulous social life at the time.  It's simply a much better film but because of Capote got very little attention).
